Psychiatry

Psychiatry is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.

Our team includes psychiatrists, medical doctors who specialize in psychiatric and substance use disorders, and psychiatric nurse practitioners — advanced practice nurses with additional training to treat mental health problems..

Our psychiatric team assesses clients' needs, develops treatment plans, conducts client sessions, and prescribes and manages medications.

Veterans Services

As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), CLR is committed to providing culturally competent services for active-duty military members, veterans, and their families.

In addition to establishing referral pathways with local Veterans Administration clinics and facilities, CLR has contracted with Steven A. Cohen Veterans Family Clinic at Valley Cities to support these efforts. Our staff benefit from regular training and consultation from Cohen Veterans Network staff and partner around service delivery across our joint clinics.

Program of Assertive Community Treatment

Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is a state-funded, evidence-based practice designed to reduce hospital, emergency services, and jail utilization. PACT teams serve people with severe mental illness who frequently need psychiatric care or other crisis services. CLR is one of five organizations selected in 2020 to run a PACT team.

CLR's PACT team consists of:

  • Psychiatric prescriber
  • Team leader
  • Registered nurse
  • Master’s-level mental health professional
  • Substance use disorder professional
